Mayor Joy Belmonte thanks QCitizens after 45-day campaign trail
MANILA, Philippines – In a heartfelt message to the people of Quezon City, Mayor Joy Belmonte expressed her profound gratitude to all QCitizens who stood by her during her intense 45-day campaign trail for a final three-year term.
“It’s been 45 days, and today marks the final day of our campaign—rain or shine, day or night, hot or cold… QCitizens, you stood and accompanied me on my journey toward my final three-year term as your mayor,” she declared passionately.
The mayor concluded her campaign with a series of rousing rallies across all six city districts, accompanied by Vice Mayor Gian Sotto and SBP party list Representative RJ Belmonte.
Belmonte took a moment to personally thank the constituents she met throughout the campaign, stating, “Your presence, cheers, personalized posters, and touching words—Mayor Joy appreciates every bit of it. Rest assured that in the next three years, your mayor will double her efforts to ensure that EVERYONE is included in our progress.”
In her bid for reelection, Belmonte is rallying support for all six incumbent congressmen: Arjo Atayde in District 1, Ralph Tulfo in District 2, Franz Pumaren in District 3, Marvin Rillo in District 4, PM Vargas in District 5, and Marivic Co-Pilar in District 6.
She urged QCitizens to back her team of thirty-six councilors across all districts to fulfill her vision for the city, which is now recognized as the richest in the country.
“As we approach the upcoming elections, let’s be discerning. Let’s choose public servants who have truly done good or will do good, select those who are free from corruption and will not steal from the public coffers,” she emphasized.
Under Belmonte’s stewardship, the Commission on Audit (COA) has awarded the QC local government a “clean and unqualified opinion” for four consecutive years, signifying honest, efficient, and corruption-free management of public funds.
Recently, Mayor Joy Belmonte was honored as the “Outstanding Public Servant of the Year” by RPMD Foundation Inc., a recognition attributed to the trust and support of her constituents in her clean and effective governance.
“Congratulations to us all! Let’s continue our commitment to good governance. Together, we can achieve great things and build a brighter future for our community,” Belmonte concluded, rallying her supporters for the challenges ahead.
