Comelec extends pre-enrollment period for Pinoys voting abroad
MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Saturday called on registered overseas Filipino voters to participate in the pre-enrollment until May 12 for the upcoming midterm elections.
The Comelec has once again extended the pre-enrollment period until May 12, 12 p.m. (Philippine time).
“Registered Overseas Voters in the 77 Posts adopting Internet Voting may enroll until 12 May 2025, 12:00 noon Philippine Standard Time in order to avail of Internet Voting,” the Comelec said in an advisory.

The poll body previously set the pre-enrollment period from March 20, 2025 to May 10, 2025 after several groups called on the Comelec for extension amid concerns in the online voting system, such as lack of voting awareness and technical difficulties.

Overseas registered Filipino voters are required to pre-enroll before they can cast their votes. This step will verify their identity for the first online voting system.
Around 1.3 million Filipinos abroad registered for the midterm elections.
