DepEd activates Election Command Center in Makati

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Education (DepEd) Central Office on Sunday activated its Election Command Center at TechZone, Makati City for Monday’s midterm elections.

The Command Center, according to DepEd, is fully operational from 1:00 p.m on May 11 until 5:00 p.m. on May 13 to ensure a rapid round-the-clock response to the needs of teaching and non-teaching personnel on election duty.

It will serve as the national coordination hub of the DepEd Election Task Force (ETF).

DepEd said the ETF mobilizes expert teams nationwide to monitor events, provide legal assistance, run hotlines and help desks, respond to incidents, and report after the election.

These teams are deployed to protect the welfare of personnel, coordinate with the Commission on Elections, and ensure the proper and timely resolution of field issues.
