MANILA, Philippines — Polling precincts nationwide have officially opened to all voters for the midterm elections on Monday.
The regular voting period started at 7 a.m. and will end at 7 p.m.

Early voting for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women began at 5 a.m. and ended at 7 a.m.
The Commission on Election (Comelec) has earlier advised voters to bring their own “kodigo” (cheat sheet) containing the list of candidates they will vote for.

Over 68 million registered voters are expected to cast their votes in the midterm polls. The elections will fill over 18,000 national and local posts.
