DARAGA, ALBAY — Rep. Joey Salceda of Albay’s 2nd District was among the early voters in this town during Monday’s national and local elections.
Salceda, who is running for governor, arrived at Peñafrancia Elementary School in Barangay Peñafrancia at 7:25 a.m.
At the polling precinct, he was warmly welcomed by fellow voters who had been in line since before the 6 a.m. opening.
Salceda, running under the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats, is seeking to reclaim the post he held from 2007 to 2016.
He is facing former Gov. Noel Rosal of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino and independent candidate Rosaler Sara Jr.
