1 dead in election day stabbing in Lanao del Sur

MARAWI CITY — A heated argument with the supporter of a mayoral bet has cost the life of a voter in Maguing town, Lanao del Sur on Election Day, May 12.
According to Maj. Salahudden Basher, spokesperson of the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office, Arafat Haron Ishak was stabbed seven times by a still unidentified attacker with whom he had an altercation.

The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, and the police are still confirming where exactly the stabbing occurred, Basher said.
