Former VP Robredo poised to win as Naga City’s first female mayor

MANILA, Philippines — Former Vice President Leni Robredo is poised to win the mayoral race in Naga City as she leads in the partial and unofficial results of 2025 national elections as of 10:18 p.m.

Robredo makes history as the city’s first female mayor.

Based on the partial tally from the Commission on Elections Robredo leads the mayoral race in Naga City, Camarines Sur at 81,550 garnered votes.

Her closest rival, former broadcaster and Mayor of Pandan, Catanduanes Restituto De Quiros, only got 6,164 votes.

Apart from De Quiros, Robredo’s other rivals, are yet to hit a thousand votes as Luis Ortega only had 853 votes while Leonida Abrazado garnered 725 votes.

Meanwhile, Robredo’s running mate Gabby Bordado is also leading the vice mayoral race garnering 45,314 votes so far, albeit by a smaller margin to her close rival, Tato Mendoza with 40,282. /cb
