LEGAZPI CITY – Noel Rosal is leading the gubernatorial race in Albay province, according to partial and unofficial results from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Tuesday.
Rosal, under Partido Demokratiko Pilipino, received 337,708 votes while 2nd District Representative Joey Salceda got 329,310 votes, based on 82.6 percent of election returns received by the Comelec as of 5 a.m.
The independent candidate, Rosaler Sara Jr., got 5,251 votes.
Meanwhile, Rosal’s wife, Carmen Geraldine, was lagging behind her close rival, Hisham Ismail, in the mayoral race in Legazpi City, according to the partial, unofficial results in the 2025 midterm elections.
Carmen Geraldine is second in the race with 52,131 votes, while Ismail is leading with 57,505, based on the 5 a.m. partial, unofficial results from the Comelec.
Two independent candidates, Doc Atutubo received 556 votes while Dan Sabdao got 182 votes.#
