Villanueva re-elected as Concepcion mayor; NPC dominates local races

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Monday night proclaimed re-electionist Mayor Noel Villanueva of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) as the winner of the mayoral race in Concepcion, Tarlac.
Based on the certificate of canvass, local election officials announced that Villanueva received 55,203 votes, defeating Andres Lacson of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), who garnered 43,257.
Evelyn Rivera (NPC) was also proclaimed vice mayor-elect with 64,510 votes, ahead of Carla Bautista (PFP), who got 31,418.
Winners of the eight municipal council seats were:

- Erwin James Villanueva (NPC)
- Joey Baluyut (Aksyon Demokratiko)
- Nics Santos (PFP)
- Jayson Lagman (NPC)
- Marvin Macalino (Independent)
- Ching Bucu (PFP)
- Carlo Avena (NPC)
