“This victory is not only mine, but the victory of each district, of each Waray family who continues to trust our brand of leadership.  With your help, the voice of Leyte in Congress would be stronger and louder.  We will be able to do more and help more,” he added.

Romualdez was proclaimed by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Provincial Board of Canvassers during its session on Tuesday at the New Provincial Capitol in Palo, Leyte.

He assured his constituents that he would continue to push for a legislative agenda that “promotes inclusive development and economic resilience” while continuously checking on Leyte’s welfare.

“I assure you, your trust will not be put to waste.  We will continue to bring projects, programs, and care to each barangay and each home.  The Leyte First District will continue to be a model of recovery, progress, and good governance,” he said in Filipino.
