Manila Mayor Lacuna concedes

MANILA, Philippines — Incumbent Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna has conceded defeat in the 2025 midterm elections after lagging behind in the partial and unofficial count of the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Comelec’s latest transparency server tally showed former Manila mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso way ahead with 527,600 votes, followed by Lacuna with 190,087.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Lacuna thanked those who supported and trusted her.
“My dear fellow Manilenos, the elections are over, and we have witnessed another chapter of democracy. A day when we all have equal power,” Lacuna said in a video message in Filipino.
“I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who trusted, helped, joined, united, and shared our stand. We humbly accept the decision of the vast majority,” she added.
Lacuna said she had been honored to serve the city since 2022.
