Pangasinan reelects Guico as governor, Lambino as vice governor

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — Governor Ramon Guico III secured a second term after defeating former Governor Amado Espino III by 96,837 votes in Pangasinan’s local elections, final results showed Tuesday.

Guico received 881,307 votes to Espino’s 784,470 in a race that saw high voter engagement, with 86.7 percent of the province’s 2.1 million registered voters casting ballots.

“I’m happy to be reelected, meaning we can continue with our projects,” Guico told reporters, pledging to advance programs in education, health, infrastructure, and tourism.

His running mate, Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino, was also reelected by an even wider margin, surpassing one million votes.
