Comelec proclaims winners in Oriental Mindoro polls

The Commission on Elections’ (Comelec) Provincial Board of Canvassers (PBOC) in Oriental Mindoro has officially proclaimed the winners of key posts in the province on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
CITY OF CALAPAN — The Commission on Elections’ (Comelec) Provincial Board of Canvassers (PBOC) in Oriental Mindoro has officially proclaimed the winners of key posts in the province on Tuesday.
At ceremonies conducted in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan session hall in this city, Humerlito “Bonz” Dolor was proclaimed governor with 235,935 votes, winning his third term in office. Dolor served as vice governor of the province from 2010 until 2019, under Governor Alfonso Umali before winning the 2019 elections as governor himself.
Alfonso Umali, Jr. has also won the congressional race as 2nd district representative with 114,121 votes while Antonio “CA Jojo” Perez is now vice governor with 192,571 votes, and Arnan Panaligan, who ran unopposed, got the 1st district representative post with 192,998 votes.
The proclamation was led by Comelec Provincial Election Supervisor lawyer John Mark Tambasacan after the completion of canvassing from all municipalities and Calapan City.
