MMDA collects over 11 tons of campaign materials days after polls

MANILA, Philippines — Over 11 tons of campaign-related materials were collected within Metro Manila days after this year’s national and local elections, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
In a report released on Wednesday, the MMDA said 11.18 tons—which translates to 23,452 pieces of campaign materials—were collected by its Metro Parkway Clearing Group from May 13 to 14.

Most of the campaign materials collected were from Manila with 8,498 pieces, followed by Quezon City with 4,218, Muntinlupa (3,479), and Pasay City (2,549), among others.
On the other hand, a few campaign materials were collected in Marikina at 109 and in Pasig City with 239, among others.
Meanwhile, no materials were collected in Taguig City, Mandaluyong City, Makati City, and Las Piñas.
