MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has released its first and second canvass reports for the senatorial and party-list race in the 2025 midterm elections, with candidates listed according to their place in the ballot.
Comelec released the partial and official tally on Thursday evening, as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) continues to process certificates of canvass (COCs) sent to its database.
The NBOC receives and tallies results from the COCs, or the aggregated, final, and official count of votes for the senatorial and party-list race. The COCs come from provinces, highly urbanized cities, local absentee voting, and overseas absentee voting.
According to Comelec, they will be releasing four canvass reports — which means there may be two more left. On Wednesday night, Comelec spokesperson Director John Rex Laudiangco said that the poll body remains on track to complete the fastest canvassing of a national election ever, as only 16 COCs are left.
