MANILA, Philippines — Accredited poll watchdog Parish Pastoral for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) has already received 20.91% of the election returns (ERs) nationwide four days after the midterm elections.
PPCRV Spokesperson Ana Singson said on Friday that this is equivalent to 19,506 ERs out of the 93,287 total number of voting precincts.
“So we are accounting already for ⅕ of all the precincts, nandito na po. Kailangan naming iverify, but we need your help. We need volunteers,” Singson said in a press briefing.
Singson said that the ERs received all came from Luzon, with 8,002 ERs coming from the National Capital Region, and 11,504 ERs from the North, South, and Eastern Luzon.

Singson noted that volunteers can visit the command center located at the PLDT Sampaloc Office on España Boulevard corner Macaraig Street in Sampaloc, Manila, or sign up at its website.
Meanwhile, Singson also shared that the PPCRV received the last batch of transmitted votes at 99.12%. She said that the poll watchdog will not be making any more updates to the unofficial ballot count after Friday.
“I have to say that this is one of the highest, I will have to double check, but I think this is one of the highest transmission rates that we’ve gotten and very very quickly, too. It’s only barely four days after the elections and we’re already at 99.12%,” Singson added.

Singson also called on the public to pay “special attention” to the random manual audit, where over 700 randomly selected clustered precincts and one overseas online voting post will participate.
During the random manual audit, the ballots from the precincts will be verified to ensure that the vote counts match the results from the automated counting machines. /jpv
