MANILA, Philippines — Four days after the 2025 midterm polls, poll watchdog Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) reported a record-high 99.12% vote transmission rate from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) — the highest since 2010.

Ana Singson, PPCRV spokesperson, happily announced the matter in a press conference on Friday afternoon.

“[About] 99.12 percent of all the precincts have transmitted to the transparency server of the PPCRV. I am very sure that that’s the highest count we have ever had since 2010. Kudos to the Comelec for that, 99.12 percent transmitted fully to the transparency server of PPCRV and in less than four days — it’s also record time and record-high,” said Singson.

“Job well done in terms of the speed and also in terms of the very high rate of transmissions. This is the highest we have received since we started automation in 2010,” she added later on.

According to Singson, the Comelec made its last transmission on the evening of May 15. From there on, PPCRV said its transparency server will no longer be receiving Comelec files.

Singson, for her part, said what would continue at the PPCRV command center for the next month will be the unofficial parallel count or the audit of the transmitted vote.

“This is very important. Why is it important? When is our vote the most vulnerable? While it is being transmitted it can be hacked, manipulated. That is the best time to attack the vote: while it’s being transmitted. So if it ever gets hacked, we will know because we have transmitted votes and we have a copy of physical election returns,” she explained in Filipino.

The spokesperson said one election return is equivalent to one precinct. At present, it has received a total of 21,060 election returns.
