PPCRV: No issues so far in 2025 elections parallel count

Poll watchdog Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting said it has begun receiving physical copies of election returns from Visayas and Mindanao.
MANILA, Philippines — The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) said it has not flagged any issues so far while conducting its unofficial parallel count for the 2025 midterm elections.
PPCRV spokesperson Ana Singson said the group has been conducting an unofficial parallel count for three days now.

“So far, we have not flagged anything,” Singson said in Filipino when asked if they had seen any issues during the counterchecking processes.
“Right now, you’re seeing two verification sets because there are always two groups doing the verification: Set A and Set B. One election return (ER) is verified twice, because if only one person checks it, they might be tired or make a mistake—but if two people check, it’s more reliable,” she explained.
Singson added that if the verification of sets A and B does not tally, it goes to a third verification.
Senior verifiers and only PPCRV trustees verify if there is a difference between sets A and B.
Singson said the total number of ERs they have so far received is 21,060, equivalent to 22.58 percent of the 93,287 precincts nationwide.
Below is the breakdown of ERs so far received by PPCRV:
- South / North Luzon – 11,666
- Metro Manila — 8,002
- Visayas – 1,392
- Mindanao – no data yet
- Overseas – 0
