MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec), sitting as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC), has begun the proclamation of 54 party-list groups.
Monday’s proclamation, held just seven days after the polls, was the fastest since fully automated elections began in 2010, made possible by the record-speed canvassing completed only three days after the midterm elections.
Prior to this, the fastest proclamation of party-list winners was during the 2019 midterm polls held nine days after the elections.
The longest was in 2010 when the NBOC only had a partial proclamation for party-lists 21 days after the polls.
Akbayan, Duterte Youth, and Tingog have emerged as the first, second, and third party-list groups with the most votes, respectively.
