8 senatorial bets, 19 party-lists file SOCEs so far — Comelec

MANILA, Philippines — Four days before the deadline of filing, eight senatorial candidates and 19 party-lists in the 2025 midterm elections have submitted their statements of contribution and expenditure (SOCEs) so far, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
In a Viber message to reporters, Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia provided the list of candidates and party-lists who filed their SOCEs as of Saturday, 4:30 p.m.

The Comelec earlier warned that failure to submit this requirement can be considered grounds for perpetual disqualification from holding public office.
The poll body said that candidates, party-lists, and political parties are required to file their SOCEs until June 11, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., even if:
- They were elected or not
- They neither incurred expenses nor received any contribution
- They did not pursue or continue their campaign
- They self-funded their campaign; or
- They withdrew their campaign, unless it was done before the start of the campaign period
Section 14 of the Republic Act 7166 states that failure to submit SOCE shall constitute an administrative offense with an administrative fine ranging from P1,000 to P30,000.
For the second or third commission of the offense, “the administrative fine shall be from Two thousand pesos (P2,000.00) to Sixty thousand pesos (P60,000.00), at the discretion of the Commission. In addition, the offender shall be subject to perpetual disqualification to hold public office.”/mr
