Comelec offers free voter certification at Rizal Park

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is offering free voter certification and access to other voter information services on June 10 and 11, 2025 at the Rizal Park in Manila.
The Comelec’s booth will be open from 9 a.m. onwards at the Central Lagoon.
In a Facebook post, the poll body said that this is “in celebration of the 127th Anniversary of Philippine Independence with the theme: “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan (Independence. Future. History.).”

The Comelec previously waived the P75 fee for the document starting February 12, 2024.
A voter’s certificate can serve as a temporary voter’s ID card upon the request of a registered voter. It is valid for a year from the date of its issuance.
Meanwhile, the Comelec will begin its voter registration from July 1 to July 11, 2025. It is expecting around one million new voters who can already take part in the 2025 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.

Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia previously announced that the Comelec will no longer accept barangay certificates as a requirement to prove residence for the voter registration starting in July.
Garcia cited cases of mass issuance of barangay certificates that could enable the irregular transfer of voter registration. /das
