Printing of field test ballots for BARMM elections set on July 14
MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced on Saturday that the printing of field test ballots for the 2025 Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections will start on Monday at the National Printing Office (NPO) Facility, NIA North Road, Diliman, Quezon City.
Based on a statement, the Comelec said the printing of 160 field test ballots will commence after the signing of the memorandum of agreement (MOA) for the provision of printing services in connection to the BARMM Elections.

The MOA signing is set at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Chairman’s Hall in Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila.
According to the Comelec, the printing of 160 ballots is intended “exclusively for use in the upcoming Field Test in July 2025 to be conducted within BARMM.”
“These field test ballots will not reflect the names of actual candidates and political parties in the 2025 BARMM Parliamentary Elections, as these will be used solely for simulation and testing purposes,” the Comelec said.

The Comelec emphasized that the field test aims “to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and readiness of the electoral rules, procedures, and automated election systems to be deployed in BARMM.”
The field test is part of the commission’s preparatory activities for the BARMM Parliamentary Elections, which are set for October 13, 2025. /cb
