MANILA, Philippines — Bad weather caused by the southwest monsoon, or habagat, persists in the country even with the exit of Severe Tropical Storm Crising, internationally known as Wipha, last Saturday.

As of Monday morning, five people have been reported dead and another five injured, with seven still missing, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
