Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon are expected to experience flooding under red, orange, and yellow rainfall warning

Several parts of  the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) are not passable to all types of vehicles by Monday evening due to flooding.

A second low pressure area (LPA) has formed inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Monday afternoon, state meteorologists said.

Records also showed that the water level underneath Kalaklan Bridge was at 2.4 meters or at a warning level.

DILG then announced that classes and government work are suspended in Metro Manila and 10 other provinces on Tuesday, July 22.

As of Sunday, Bustos Dam was at an elevation of 15.88 meters, while Ipo Dam reached 100.52m — just below its spilling level of 101.m

All residents…especially those near the river banks, are still advised to be alert for possible floodings.

According to the DILG, classes and government work are suspended on the following based on the recommendations of the OCD and Cabinet.

Afternoon classes in several areas of the National Capital Region were suspended on Monday, July 21, due to inclement weather brought by the habagat.

The low-pressure area (LPA) off the Visayas now has a “medium” chance of developing into a tropical depression, state meteorologists said on Monday.

The number coding scheme in Metro Manila remains in effect on Monday despite heavy rains, according to the MMDA.

Heavy rainfall is expected in Metro Manila and four other provinces on Monday as the habagat continues to persist, Pagasa said in its 8:00 a.m. report.

Five people were reported dead, while seven remain missing due to the bad weather brought by Storm Crising and the habagat, the NDRRMC said on Monday morning.

Hundreds of people remain stranded at ports across the country due to inclement weather, the Philippine Coast Guard said on Monday.

The habagat is expected to continue bringing rain to most parts of the country, while the new LPA is unlikely to have a direct effect, Pagasa said on Monday.
