MANILA, Philippines — The Senate held a plenary session today, Sept. 29, presided by newly elected Senate President Vicente Sotto III, with Vice President Sara Duterte, who attended a budget hearing earlier, present in the gallery.
Sen. Francis Escudero took to the floor to answer accusations that he was involved in anomalous flood control projects, pointing instead to House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Sen. Rodante Marcoleta also spoke on the credibility of witness Orly Guteza, who also implicated Romualdez in the anomalous projects.
