MANILA, Philippines — The Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) decided to end its supposed three-day anti-corruption rallies on Day 2 on Monday, Nov. 17, at the Quirino Grandstand at the Rizal Park in Manila.
But the United People’s Initiative, which is composed mostly of retired military and police officers, said it proceed with Day 3 of its rallies at the People Power Monument in Quezon City.
However, later in the day, the Quezon City government rejected its plea to allow another rally as some speakers made seditious statements, in violation of a condition set for its permit.
