MANILA, Philippines — The November 30 rallies against corruption, spearheaded by the Trillion Peso March and the Baha sa Luneta, took place today, Bonifacio Day, at the People Power Monument in Quezon City and at Mendiola and Rizal Park in Manila, with 86 dioceses nationwide supporting the mass actions.
Similar rallies, triggered by revelations in congressional hearings about widespread corruption involving private contractors and government officials in the implementation of flood control projects, were also staged in various places outside of Metro Manila.
Also today, another protest, calling for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to resign, was held by other groups at the EDSA-Ortigas Avenue area.
