MANILA, Philippines — The Traslacion for the Feast of the Jesus Nazareno, represented by a black statue of Jesus that was brought here from Mexico in 1606, started Friday at 3:58 a.m., with the carriage, or “andas” leaving the Quirino Grandstand for the hours-long trek back to Quiapo Church.
So far, its trip back has taken more than 27 hours.
