MANILA, Philippines – The House of Representatives’ committee on justice is set to proceed with its formal hearing on the impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte on Wednesday, March 25, where evidence and witnesses are expected to be presented.
Raising the constitutionality or legality of the proceedings, Duterte’s camp has earlier told the body that she will not attend.
Committee chair Gerville Luistro said the panel will proceed with the hearing proper in line with its constitutional mandate, despite objections raised by the vice president.
