Thousands of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) members gathered Tuesday near the People Power Monument in Quezon City to support Sen. Rodante Marcoleta, more than a year after the religious organization endorsed him in the 2025 senatorial elections.

The NCRPO said it has no plans to disperse the rally organized by the INC along Edsa in Quezon City yet, despite the group’s lack of a permit.

The Philippine National Police said it had been “apprised” of a plan by the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) to mount a rally beforehand.

Cayetano made the call as thousands of protesters gathered in various locations in Metro Manila early Tuesday morning.

Vice President Sara Duterte said the people who gathered along Edsa reflect what she described as a “growing sentiment” against the Marcos administration.

PNP said it will “exhaust all means” to end the rally reportedly mounted by the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) without a permit at Edsa on Tuesday.

Around 10,850 protesters in total have gathered at four separate demonstrations at the People Power Monument along Edsa on Tuesday, the PNP said.
