Comelec’s precinct finder for BARMM polls accessible starting Sept. 7

MANILA, Philippines — The precinct finder of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for the first Bangsamoro Parliamentary elections will be accessible starting Sept. 7, 2026, the poll body announced on Wednesday. 

This is in line with the Comelec en banc’s approval of the request of the poll body’s Information Technology Department (ITD) “to make the Precinct Finder publicly accessible from September 7, 2026 to September 14, 2026 at 7:00 P.M., or until the official closing of voting.”

The ITD noted that the precinct finder will soon be accessed through precinctfinder.comelec.gov.ph.

In a separate advisory, the Comelec said that the voter’s polling place can be identified by inputting the following information: full name, birthdate, and place of registration. 

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday once again vowed for peaceful and safe parliamentary polls, saying that “despite several postponements, the government never lost hope and remains fully committed to supporting this democratic exercise.”

The first parliamentary elections will fill the 80-seat parliament, of which 40 seats are allotted for political parties, 32 seats for district representatives, and eight for sectoral organizations. /mr
