PDP proclamation rally of senatorial bets kicks off

MANILA, Philippines — Two days after the campaign season officially began, the senatorial candidates of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino ng Pilipino (PDP) launched their own electoral drive.

Chaired by former President Rodrigo Duterte, PDP set their campaign in motion at the Club Filipino in San Juan City on Thursday.

Of all the PDP bets, only senatorial aspirant and alleged rapist Apollo Quiboloy had already conducted his separate proclamation rally last February 11.

Completing the list of PDP senatorial slate are as follows:

• Sen. Bong Go
• Sen. Bato dela Rosa
• Ex-Presidential Adviser for Northern Luzon Raul Lambino
• Actor Philip Salvador
• Detained televangelist Apollo Quiboloy
• SAGIP Party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta
• Musician and lawyer Jimmy Bondoc
• Former DILG Usec. Jayvee Hinlo

Duterte is expected to grace the event and deliver a speech.

There is no word yet if his daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte, will also attend the rally.
