MANILA, Philippines — The pre-enrollment period for overseas online voting for the 2025 midterm elections has been moved to March 20, 2025 to May 7, 2025, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Thursday.
Comelec originally scheduled the pre-enrollment period from March 10, 2025 to May 7, 2025.
“Overseas Filipino voters of Philippine posts abroad adopting internet voting in the May 12, 2025 National and Local elections shall enroll in the Overseas Voting and Counting System (OVCS) from March 20, 2025 (Thursday) to May 7, 2025 (Wednesday),” Comelec said in a Facebook post.
The 30-day voting period for overseas Filipinos will be from April 13, 2025 to May 12, 2025 (Philippine Standard Time).
Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia previously said that registered overseas Filipino voters are required to register in the pre-enrollment before they can vote.
Garcia also noted that around 1.3 million Filipinos abroad registered for the upcoming elections.
Seventy-seven posts worldwide will offer an online voting option while 17 posts will use automated counting machines.
