MANILA, Philippines – Senatorial candidate Camille Villar received a significant boost in her campaign as top local officials of Malabon City pledged their full support during her visit to the city on Thursday, March 27.
Malabon Mayor Jeannie Sandoval and her husband, former Rep. Ricky Sandoval, led the endorsement, accompanied by Councilors Niño Galauran, Gerry Bernardo, Maricar Torres, and Leslie Yambao.
The group was photographed making the signature “C” hand sign — symbolizing their backing of Villar’s senatorial bid.
The endorsement is a notable addition to Villar’s growing list of local government allies as she seeks a seat in the Senate in the upcoming midterm elections.

Her visit to Malabon is part of a broader campaign tour focused on engaging communities and strengthening grassroots support across Metro Manila.
Mayor Sandoval praised Villar’s track record in both the private sector and public service, citing her focus on livelihood programs, women’s empowerment, and youth development as key reasons behind their endorsement.
Villar, currently a member of the House of Representatives for Las Piñas, is the daughter of Sen. Cynthia Villar and former Senate President Manny Villar. She is running on a platform centered on economic recovery, education, and inclusive development.
The 2025 midterm elections are scheduled for May, with 12 Senate seats up for grabs.
