“Naujan and Mindoro are near to my heart. That’s why when we put up this FPJ Panday Bayanihan party list, I though that Mindoro should have representation through our party list. Friends, because Gov. Bonz Dolor is a good friend of mine, the governor and Ate Hiyas Dolor [his wife] to make FPJ Panday Bayanihan the third nominee,” Poe said in Filipino.

Poe acknowledged the tremendous contributions of Governor Dolor, saying: “It’s very clear what Gov. Bonz Dolor has done. Mindoro really improved… He implemented many projects here in Mindoro. He brought much aid from the national government to Mindoro. If Ate Hiyas Dolor should become congresswoman, the projects and benefits they will bring to Mindoro.

Poe’s recognition of the governor’s efforts highlighted the tangible improvements for his community.

“So, my friends, we really need your help. A party list that is number 1 has not only one but two or three [representatives] in position,” he said.

“I know we can do this. I have seen that up to now your support and trust for the Poe family has remained solid — particularly for the legacy left by FPJ [his grandfather, the late movie actor Fernando Poe Jr.] for helping Filipinos,” he went on.

“I know we will be number one here in Oriental Mindoro. But I really need your help — not only for me but also for Kuya Mark [Patron] and Ate Hiyas Dolor. We need her to become a congresswoman so that we do a lot more for Mindoreños,” he added.

Hiyas Dolor, the third nominee and wife of Governor Bonz Dolor, added: “My countrymen, FPJ Panday Bayanihan Party List is number three in the ballot and number one in the hearts of every Batangueño and Mindoreño.”

She stressed the commitment of the party to uplift the lives of the people in Mindoro, and her passion for serving the community was evident in her words.
