Mayor Joy Belmonte has officially endorsed the senatorial candidacy of Camille Villar during the latter’s campaign visit to the city on Monday, as Villar engaged with various community sectors and expressed her legislative priorities.

Villar, a current member of the House of Representatives, expressed gratitude for Belmonte’s support and reaffirmed her commitment to champion the rights and welfare of women, youth, and marginalized sectors. She also vowed to push for improved healthcare services and better access to quality education if elected to the Senate.

As part of her visit, Villar participated in a gender and development assembly organized by the Quezon City government. The initiative seeks to promote gender equality across sectors such as education, employment, healthcare, and political participation.

Villar also met with local transport groups, including tricycle drivers and operators, to hear their concerns and discuss possible policy interventions.

“I thank Mayor Belmonte and the people of Quezon City for their unwavering support,” Villar said. “If given the opportunity to serve in the Senate, I will always be ready to help and advocate for the needs of the communities here.”

Quezon City, considered a vote-rich area in Metro Manila, has 1,382,018 registered voters, according to the latest data from the Commission on Elections.
