1Pacman partylist champions Tagbilaran and Bohol District 1 progress

1Pacman partylist first nominee Milka Romero gets support from local leaders of Tagbilaran City and Bohol District 1
1Pacman partylist first nominee Milka Romero says the vital support of Tagbilaran City in Bohol province focuses on funding special projects for the city and the province.
“1Pacman doubles up with LGUs to work for funding the faster delivery of services,” she said.
1Pacman achieves results that immediately impact Tagbilaran with the solid endorsement of first district of Bohol congressional aspirant John Geesnell “Baba” Yap and Tagbilaran Mayor Jane Yap.
Romero raised hands with Team Yap during its highly energized proclamation rally.
“Patuloy kaming tutulong para matugunan ang mga importanteng concerns sa infrastructure, medical at health, pati rin edukasyon at scholarships,” Romero said.
(We will continue to help address key concerns in infrastructure, medical and health services, as well as education and scholarships.)
Romero also joined the motorcade with the Asenso Pa More group with Mayor Yap.
Romero said 1Pacman livens up the city’s offerings to the youth, not only through sports fests, but more importantly, teaching sessions for the youth and giving them hope through determination to reach their goals.
1Pacman also champions sports and youth advocacy.
“Sports development is doable. But it is not a stand-alone proposition. It is linked to nutrition, improved food production for higher income, and access to education, as well as more job opportunities,” Romero said.
“Our sports advocacy is about having more healthy children enjoy sports in schools, more parents who are able to motivate and support the needs of young, talented athlete-students, while the national and local governments help set up better sporting facilities and train better teachers,” she added.
Milka, a recognized business, socio-civic, and sports leader, was chairman of 1Pacman partylist as her father, Rep. Mikee Romero, was performing his duties as a three-term congressman.
Like her father, the younger Romero is an accomplished athlete, having played with the national football team. She also owns two professional women’s sports teams — the Capital1 Solar Spikers that play in the Premier Volleyball League, and the Capital1 Solar Strikers that play in the women’s division games of the Professional Football Federation.
In his first term, among bills that Rep. Romero filed as principal author led to the creation of the country’s first-ever National Sports Academy. His bill also became a law.
Rep. Romero became House deputy speaker on his third term and served as chairman of the House committee on poverty alleviation.
