MANILA, Philippines – 1PACMAN Party-list underscored the value of people going for candidates with a track record to push General Santos City’s continued progress.
The party-list itself has etched a sterling record of community outreach projects in its nine years in Congress, topbilling with over 30,000 scholarships and a similar number in medical assistance to needy families.
It is certain about having a wider spread for its nutrition, health, and education programs for General Santos City’s needy sectors with a successful run in the May elections, according to Bobby Pacquiao, 1Pacman second nominee.
Pacquiao, a former congressman, teams up with Milka Romero, 1Pacman first nominee, in advancing the achievements of General Santos City through job creation, MSME support, infrastructure, and youth development.
GenSan is notably one of Mindanao’s fastest growing localities.
Bobby Pacquiao said, “This city is home. We’re committed to pushing its progress forward. I’ve seen how far we’ve come. With the right support, we can take it even further.”
1PACMAN, known for championing grassroots programs, is bringing in more resources and opportunities for GenSan and other communities. “GenSan has great potential, and we’re here to help realize that,” said Milka Romero, adding that it would also delve on projects supporting its core industries — fisheries, agribusiness, and logistics.
GenSan, long known as the Tuna Capital of the Philippines, continues to lead the country in fish production. According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the city contributed over 30 percent of the country’s total tuna catch in 2024, reinforcing its vital role in national food security and export earnings.
GenSan Mayor Lorelei Pacquiao welcomed the partnership, noting that “With 1Pacman, GenSan’s growth will be felt by every family.”
