The celebration kicked off with a Solidarity Walk, followed by a Holy Mass attended by local officials led by Mayor Cindy Carolino and Atty. Tony Carolino.
Mayor Carolino shared that the celebration was an expression of gratitude to their patron, Sta. Maria, for the blessings and bountiful harvests they have received.
In her message, Romero expressed her deep thanks for the invitation to experience the celebration.
She also highlighted 1-Pacman’s commitment to the agricultural sector and its advocacy for the welfare of farmers.
She underscored the vital role of farmers in ensuring the country’s food security.
Guests were then treated to local delicacies such as suman and tamales, both of which are specialties proudly made in Sta. Maria. This was followed by the opening of the Marilag Trade Fair, which showcased the town’s homegrown products and agricultural bounty.
The Marilag Food Fair was also one of the event’s highlights.
House Deputy Majority Leader Camille Villar and actress Christine Reyes also joined the celebration.
