MANILA, Philippines – Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go has firmly secured the top spot across major polling firms in their respective March 2025 senatorial surveys, affirming the sustained public trust in his long-standing advocacy for accessible health services, grassroots engagement, and pro-poor programs.

According to Pulse Asia survey conducted from March 23 to 29, Go garnered a commanding 61.9% voter preference—up from 58.1% in February and a significant jump from 50.4% in January, when he was oscillating between second and third place. The March figures clearly place him ahead of other contenders by a wide margin, strengthening his lead as the 2025 midterm elections approach.

Go, who currently chairs the Senate Committees on Health, on Sports and on Youth.

The survey results echo the same trend in a separate senatorial preference survey by Social Weather Stations (SWS), commissioned by Stratbase and conducted in March 2025. Go secured the top spot with 42%, rising from 38% in February, 37% in January, and 32% in December 2024. The steady upward trajectory underscores the deepening reach of his “Malasakit at Serbisyo” brand of leadership, built on years of direct interaction with communities and responsiveness to local needs.

Meanwhile, Publicus Asia Inc.’s Pahayag 2025 first-quarter national survey conducted from March 15 to 20 reinforced Senator Go’s dominance. He placed first in the aided awareness category with 45% and also led the unaided awareness category with 17%. The results suggest not just widespread recognition, but organic recall among Filipino voters—many of whom have personally benefited from the projects and programs he supported.

This organic resonance was mirrored in OCTA Research’s Tugon ng Masa survey conducted from March 18 to 24. Senator Go again topped the list with 64% voter preference—up from 62% in February and 58% in January.

Go’s involvement in health initiatives, including his role as principal author and sponsor of Republic Act No. 11463, or the Malasakit Centers Act of 2019, continues to benefit countless lives.

As of early 2025, 167 Malasakit Centers are operating across the country, serving as one-stop shops to assist indigent patients in reducing their hospital expenses.

The Department of Health (DOH) reports that the Malasakit Center program has already provided aid to more than 17 million Filipinos.

Alongside the Malasakit Centers, his push for the establishment of over 700 Super Health Centers nationwide, as well as his role as principal sponsor and one of the authors of Republic Act No. 11959, or the Regional Specialty Centers Act, further demonstrates his hands-on approach to improving healthcare access, especially for those in underserved communities.

Although he remains focused on his duties in the Senate, Go has maintained a strong presence on the ground, frequently visiting disaster-affected areas, inspecting healthcare facilities, and coordinating support for displaced or marginalized families.

Go, who is known as Mr. Malasakit for his compassionate service to Filipinos in need.
