MANILA, Philippines — The Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate will resume its campaign with four different stops in Pampanga, as local officials invited the 11-person line-up to woo Kapampangan voters.
Alyansa campaign manager and Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco on Wednesday said it is important to stop by Pampanga, which is a game-changer in any election, with over 1.67 million registered voters.
“Pampanga is a game-changer. Its people want leaders who will work, not grandstand, and that’s exactly what Alyansa stands for,” Tiangco said in a statement.
According to Tiangco, Alyansa is also looking at working and communicating with Pampanga residents and officials in solving the country’s problems while ensuring a better future through jobs, infrastructure, and social services.
“We’re not just here to campaign. We’re here to work with Kapampangans to build lasting progress. This is about jobs, infrastructure, social services, and a better future,” he said.
`Fight for every vote’
“Alyansa is ready to fight for every vote and deliver a Senate that truly works for the Filipino people,” he added.
There will be four local rallies in Pampanga on Wednesday: first, in Angeles City’s Lapid Arena, where Pampanga 1st District Rep. Carmelo Lazatin II and Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. will be present.
The candidates will then move to San Fernando City, where another rally will be held at the Laus Events Center, hosted by former president and Pampanga 2nd District Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Pampanga 4th District Rep. Anna York Bondoc meanwhile will accompany the Alyansa bets at the Kingsborough International Convention Center in San Fernando, before another province-wide “show of unity” at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.
Alyansa is fielding an 11-person slate for the 2025 midterm elections, which includes former DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos, Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, Senator Pia Cayetano, Senator Lito Lapid, former Senator Ping Lacson, former Senator Manny Pacquiao, Senator Bong Revilla, former Senate President Tito Sotto, Senator Francis Tolentino, House Deputy Majority Leader Erwin Tulfo, and House Deputy Speaker Camille Villar.
Lapid, who hails from and was a former governor of Pampanga, will be present to also call on his fellow Kapampangans to vote for Alyansa.
Next stop: Pangasinan
After Pampanga, Alyansa is expected to visit Pangasinan on Friday, April 25, as it seeks to end the month of April on a strong note. A recent survey from polling firm Social Weather Stations (SWS) showed that nine of the top 12 senatorial candidates were from Alyansa.

According to the SWS survey, Tulfo leads all Alyansa candidates at the 2nd spot, followed by Lapid (3rd); Sotto (4th); Cayetano (5th); Revilla (7th); Binay (9th); Villar (10th); Lacson (11th); and Pacquiao (12th).
However, both Abalos and Tolentino are still outside of the winning circle, ranking 18th and 21st, respectively.
Earlier, no less than House of Representatives Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, president of Lakas-CMD, told his party-mates to continue and intensify their support for Alyansa — without ifs and buts.
Lakas-CMD is part of the five-party team that forms the Alyansa, including Marcos’ Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), the National Unity Party (NUP), and the Nacionalista Party (NP).
