Marcos to overseas voters: Vote for capable, caring bets

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday encouraged registered overseas Filipino voters to exercise their right to vote, as it is a chance to contribute to the nation’s future.

In a video message, Marcos said that online voting allows them to choose their leader no matter where they are in the world.

“Ngayon mas madali na ang pagboto, kahit nasaan kayo sa mundo hindi na kailangan pumila o bumyahe,” he said.

(Now it’s easier to vote; wherever you are in the world, you no longer need to line up or travel.)

“Sa pamamagitan ng online voting, maipapahayag ninyo ang inyong boses nang mabilis, ligtas at maayos,” he added.

(Through online voting, you can express your voice quickly, safely, and in an orderly manner.)

Marcos urged Filipino voters overseas to choose candidates whose hearts are in public service.

“Gamitin natin ang karapatang ito, piliin natin ang kandidatong may malasakit, kakayahan, at may paninindigan,” he said.

(Let us use our right to vote by choosing candidates who have compassion, capability, and conviction.)
