Marcos casts early vote in Ilocos Norte, endorses administration slate

BATAC CITY, Ilocos Norte — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. cast his vote early Monday at the Mariano Marcos Memorial Elementary School here, where he began his political career.
Marcos arrived at the school in Barangay Valdez around 7 a.m. as a registered voter of Barangay Lacub, Precinct 36-A. He was accompanied by his mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos; his sister, Irene Araneta; and his son, Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Ferdinand Alexander Marcos.
After voting, the family proceeded to the Marcos Museum before heading to Calayab Elementary School in Laoag City, where other members of the Marcos family are registered to vote.
The president did not grant interviews but smiled and waved at reporters before leaving the polling precinct.
Marcos has endorsed the administration coalition Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas, which held its final campaign rally in Mandaluyong last Friday.
The 17th president of the Philippines, Marcos is set to complete his six-year term in 2028.
