TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines — Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez of the Tingog partylist voted at V and G Dela Cruz Memorial School in this city about 7:30 a.m. Monday, May 12.
She was accompanied by her sons: Ferdinand Martin Jr., who is running for city councilor, and Julian Andrew, Tingog’s first nominee.
In a brief interview, Romualdez expressed hope for peaceful and orderly elections. She said they are confident of securing seats in the House of Representatives for the next three years, “so we can do more for the region (Eastern Visayas) and the country.”
Her husband, House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, is expected to vote at around 10 a.m. today.
