MANILA, Philippines — Voters continued to flock to the San Antonio National High School ialong Mayapis Street in Makati City a few hours before the closing of this year’s national and local elections.

As of 3:00 p.m., registered voters were seen lining up at the school’s receiving area, waiting to cast their votes in precincts located on the second to fifth floors of the establishment.

Anna Abundo of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) voters’ assistance desk said that the precincts have 7,967 registered voters.

Asked about the number of voters who have already cast their votes,  Abundo said they have yet to consolidate the numbers. 

Some voters initially assigned to San Antonio National High School were assigned to another precinct. 

Among those who shared their voting experience was 68-year-old Oloivia Cabardo.

“Mabilis lang pareho lang sa last election yung ngayon,” Cabardo told INQUIRER.net in an interview. 

(The process was fast. The voting process this year is just the same as the previous elections.)

Cabardo shared that she has been voting at the San Antonio National High School for as long as she can remember. 

Voters  also got some relief from the hot and humid conditions which was replaced by cloudy skies at aorund 4:00 p.m.
