LUCENA CITY — Quezon province solidified its reputation as a stronghold of the incumbents in the 2025 midterm elections.
This situation is apparent with Governor Angelina Tan and all congressional representatives retaining their seats by wide margins.
Tan, who ran unopposed under the Stan Q party, received 983,320 votes, while running mate Vice Governor Anacleto Alcala III secured his second term with 829,168 votes.
The Alcala political family maintained its hold on Lucena City as Mayor Mark Alcala (133,390 votes) and his father, Vice Mayor Roderick Alcala (127,097 votes), defeated their challengers by a huge margin.
All four congressional incumbents won decisively:
First District’s Mark Enverga, 240,656 votes; Second District’s David Suarez, 283,091; Third District’s Reynante Arrogancia, 160,513; and Fourth District’s Mike Tan, 191,340./apl/abc
