MANILA, Philippines — Poll watchdog Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) said it has begun receiving physical copies of election returns (ERs) from Visayas and Mindanao.
Speaking to reporters in a press conference on Friday afternoon, PPCRV Spokesperson Ana Singson said the total number of ERs they have so far received is at 21,060 which is equivalent to 22.58 percent of the 93,287 precincts nationwide.
“We have the physical ERs which represent one precinct. One ER is equal to one precinct. As of now, we already have 21,060 ERs — 21,060 and that’s equivalent to 22.58 percent of all the precincts,” said Singson.
Singson added that just today, they started receiving ERs from Visayas and Mindanao as well.
“I’m very happy to say that we have started receiving ERs from Visayas as well. Cebu has arrived, thank you so much Cebu for sending us the ERs from there. Today, ERs from Davao also arrived but it’s still being counted, but we already have Mindanao,” said Singson in a mix of Filipino and English.
She, however, noted that the ERs from Mindanao, particularly Davao, have yet to be fully counted; that’s why it’s not yet included in the tally of ERs presented.
