MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) set a record with its proclamation of the winners of the senatorial race this afternoon, just five days after Election Day — the fastest ever for any Philippine elections.

Filipino voters themselves made history by chalking up an 82.2 percent turnout, representing more than 57 million out of 69 million plus registered voters — the highest in any Philippine elections.


So here are the newly proclaimed senators-elect in the Magic 12 list:
