MANILA, Philippines — With many parts of the country still getting relentless southwest monsoon rainfall, a low-pressure area (LPA) west of the Babuyan Island has developed into Tropical Depression Emong, while Dante intensified from a tropical depression into a storm, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
The two weather disturbances formed just four days after Severe Tropical Storm Crising exited the Philippine area of responsibility.
