MANILA, Philippines — The November 30 rallies against corruption, spearheaded by the Trillion Peso March and the Baha sa Luneta, takes place today, Bonifacio Day, at the People Power Monument in Quezon City and at Rizal Park in Manila, with 86 dioceses nationwide supporting the mass actions.
Similar rallies, triggered by revelations in congressional hearings about widespread corruption involving private contractors and government officials in the implementation of flood control projects, are also scheduled in various places outside of Metro Manila.
Also today, another protest, calling for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to resign, will be held by other groups at the EDSA-Ortigas Avenue area.
