Special registration for women to be held at Comelec HQ on March 9

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will launch a Special Register Anywhere Program (SRAP) for women in its headquarters in Intramuros, Manila on March 9 (Monday).
This activity is in line with the celebration of National Women’s Month.
In an advisory on Tuesday, the Comelec said that women can register at the Chairman’s Hall of the Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“This is a safe and welcoming space to register and ensure that we will be counted in the next election,” the Comelec said.
For its SRAP, the Comelec earlier said that the following applications will be accepted:
- New registration (first-time voters)
- Transfer of registration within the same city/district/municipality
- Transfer of registration from another city/district/municipality
- Office for Overseas Voting Post to local transfer to another city/district/municipality
- Correction of entries or change of status
- Reactivation

A valid government-issued ID will be accepted, while a cedula, barangay ID or certificate, company ID or police clearance will not be honored.
The poll body’s nationwide voter registration drive for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections will run from October 20, 2025 to May 18, 2026 from Mondays to Saturdays, including holidays, beginning at 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the local Comelec offices.
The elections will be held on November 2, 2026, following their postponement in December 2025. /apl
